The transition from Summer to Autumn is a powerful time to align with your soul through ritual and yoga, join us on Saturday 20th March 3-6pm. The theme is rest, release, recharge and rejoice. This is an afternoon retreat, which will include nurturing through a 45 min restorative yoga practice, release through visualisation technique and powerful shared ritual, recharge with a nourishing vegan afternoon tea, and bring all the elements of our afternoon together through a powerful Yoga Nidra Nidra practice.
In Pagan times the equinox is the Second Harvest, Mabon, a time to give thanks to summer and pay tribute to the coming darkness. We take the energy of summer joy as the Diamond light to propel us forward to winter. Ancient cultures around the world honour the cycles of the season, and in particular these turning points of Equinox and Solstice. Together in a small group of max 12 people we will co-create an experience to anchor you, and to create a sense of clarity and joy for the year ahead. During the equinox the light and dark are in balance, with harmony between creativity (night energy) and manifestation (day energy). A powerful time to call forth our wildest dreams, and acknowledge our shadow. On this day light and dark are reflected in equal measure.
Restorative Yoga is a practice of rest, where we use props to support ease in the body. Designed for rest and recovery this practice is accessible to all. No previous experience required. For the ritual component I’ll be share ways to release what is no longer serving your highest will and good. Finishing with Yoga Nidra, a transformative guided meditation practice of approximately 40 min. Shared in the tradition of the Integrative Amrit Method of Yoga Nidra. With a focus on deep intuitive listening and healing.
Veronica is a certified ERYT-500Hr Yoga teacher and Registered Level 3 Yoga NZ teacher. Certified in the I Integrative Amrit Method of Yoga Nidra, where the focus is on profound energetic shifts. “This interest in the relationship between body and spirit started at Flinders University in 1997 with study in Psychology and Philosophy. First attuned to Reiki energy healing in 1999, subsequent studies in Ayurveda in 2000, and 3 Vipassana Retreats in my mid 20’s deepened this fascination with mysticism, energy, meditation, psychology and yogic philosophy. Over the years I have studied with many incredible teachers and my teaching is now the embodiment of my life’s passion and interest. I have a background outside of yoga as a trainer and educator in the Travel and Tourism Industry. For the last 4 years as owner of Grassroots Yoga & Health my mission is to bring people together, through regular practice and inspiring events, to grow and evolve across all the layers of their being. We lift each other up by sharing our journey.
