Ever notice that you leave yoga class feeling more grounded and settled than you felt beforehand? Even though nothing external in your world has changed, it all, somehow, feels a lot more manageable after yoga. Seated poses are known for their calming and grounding qualities. In most regular classes they are rushed into the last part of class. In this workshop, we will have the time and space to thoroughly prepare the spine, hips and hamstrings for seated poses, which we will then practice with precision and compassion.
As we head into the busyness of the holiday season, experience the energetic and emotional shifts that can occur through your practice, and use your practice beyond the studio space. As a way to not just build physical strength, but emotional and mental resilience too.
Mary is known for her ability to break down poses so you can understand all the different actions taking place. Her teaching is clear and precise with exquisite attention to detail. Her experience as a Restorative teacher will help make this an empowering and supportive practice, applying her knowledge of prop use to facilitate your comfort and support in this delicious category of yoga asana. Suitable for all levels, however not recommended for absolute beginners some experience of yoga is recommended.
