Yoga Nidra for Positive Change

23 February @ 7:15 pm - 9:00 pm

How are you going with the changes you wanted to make in your life this year? Have you struggled and feel like habits, behaviours or substances like (food, chronic busy-ness, overworking, alcohol, cannabis, shopping, porn, gaming) have power over you?

This workshop will explore the dynamics of habits, behaviours and addiction within the framework of Yoga Nidra. We become addicted to any behaviour that temporarily provides comfort and Yoga Nidra can help us see through the unconscious and automatic programming. This is a judgement free space and sharing is not expected or required. This is about your personal journey. So whether it’s something you would like to explore for well being in general or more urgent reasons all are welcome. Yoga Nidra is a powerful practice to support your intention for positive change in 2021.

The discourse will cover:

Strategies to RESTORE proper power relationship with thoughts

Managing STRESS – often the reason for external “resources” used for coping

INTENTION – You will choose your own powerful and personalised intention

The second half of the evening is a Yoga Nidra practice which is recorded for you to access for 4 weeks to support your sobriety intention. Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practice that takes you through a series of awareness techniques to bring you to the deepest level of relaxation on the edge of sleep.

Exclusive offer on the night for ongoing Yoga Nidra practice to support your 2021 journey.

Privacy is essential and this will be a safe, non judgemental space. Group sharing is not required, this is your personal journey. Anything you choose to share will be kept in confidence, and is expected of all attendees as part of participation in this event.

Veronica is passionate about the ability to gently yet powerfully change your life with a regular Yoga Nidra practice. Trained in the Integrative Amrit Method of Yoga Nidra as a certified facilitator of this method she has been offering regular weekly practices on Zoom and in the studio, and specialised workshops and programs to support Mental Health and wellbeing.

Here are what previous students on the 2020 Mental Health Yoga Nidra course have to say about this practice and working with Veronica:

“I would highly recommend this course to everyone, particularly those struggling to calm their mind and body. Veronica’s honest, open and non judgemental attitude creates a comfortable and safe space for anyone wishing to attend this course.”

“Veronica’s presence is calming in itself. She is an amazing facilitator for this content – I appreciated hearing her personal stories, which made everything even more relatable and accessible. Veronica comes across as an equal and an ally, and her passion for the subject is palpable.”

“I would have liked more! I’m not sure what exactly, but I wasn’t ready for the course to end. I love the tools provided to continue at home, but I just loved coming together to practise. There’s something about the energy created in a group that is so powerful and special.”

As someone who has struggled with mental health for most of my adult life, I have spent much time examining and searching for different resources to add to my self-help tool kit. I have found yoga nidra to be a hugely powerful tool, and at this point in my journey, it appears to be the one that pulls everything else together. It is harmonising. Talking therapies, meditation, and medication are other tools for me that help to some extent, but since beginning my nidra practise I feel as though I am at ease in a way I haven’t felt in a long time. I am beginning to feel confident, and to believe that I am not actually damaged. I am so grateful to Veronica for introducing me to this practise, and for creating this course. It’s not a magic off switch for anxiety, but it’s perhaps even more powerful because it is helping to put me back in control. Those closest to me have noticed a change and, most importantly, so have I. “
